Samsung Smart Hub Smart TV has drawbacks but is winning
by Phil Conner
No question Samsung is in the lead right now. Their Smart Hub suite has more and better options than the other producers. There are more premium Apps like MLB.tv and NBA Game Time and Explore 3D TV. Though many of the games are not really fun or worth downloading, some are and they are economically priced at around .99 cents to $2.99. Samsung has far more of these. The drawback is slow load times and a shortage of memory on board their TVs. See a good critical Samsung Smart TV Review here, or visit Samsung’s web site here for a run down on their Smart TV options.

LG has tried hard with their TV to improve the Smart TV suite to keep up with Samsung, but many of the Apps are just very small unsubstantial Apps like a book broken up into many pieces to claim 5 Apps instead of 1. They do have some nice free 3D content to watch though at least from a 3D perspective.
Other than that the other manufacturers are mainly concerned with providing the must have premium Apps like Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, Facebook, Twitter, and so forth. Cinema Now is coming up and Crackle is appearing a lot as well.
